Hypnotherapy.
Hypnotherapy is not the same thing as "stage" hypnosis. Many people believe it is a form of mind control and fear it. Hypnotherapy is a safe and gentle way of becoming deeply relaxed and when in this state, allowing your subconscious mind to provide you with reminders and memories that can help you in many ways.
The therapist acts as a facilitator, helping you to achieve deep relaxation. They will also encourage you to access the subconscious part of your mind, in order to help you re-think old and out-worn, negative thinking patterns. At all times you are in complete control of what is happening.
Whilst you are sitting, or lying on a recling chair, or sofa, your therapist will talk you through a process of relaxing every muscle in your body, from head to toe. Usually with relaxing music playing in the background, you will be guided through a deep meditation, then you will gently be brought back to the awareness of your present position.
Hypnotherapy can release you from fears, phobias, help you stop smoking and control your weight, or help you to gain confidence, or feel good about yourself.
Regression Therapy.
This is a specific form of Hypnotherapy. It involves being talked through a system of relaxation and meditation. Again, your therapist will create a comfortable, warm and safe environment for you, allowing you to feel secure enough and confident enough in your therapist, in order for them to talk you through a guided meditation which will take you back to a time when a difficult situation in your life started. Once you re-experience the situation, your therapist will have various ways of helping you to release the negative thought processes that are attached to that situation.
Past Life Regression.
The same steps will be followed as in Regression Therapy above, but instead of regressing to a situation in this life, your therapist will take you even further back, maybe to a time during a life lived prior to this life. Many people believe that we reincarnate lifetime after lifetime. They believe that events in previous lifetimes can still have an influence on us in the present. You will be guided back to when a negative influence began in a previous life and using various processes, your therapist will try to remove the negativity surrounding that situation, allowing you to heal the situation in the present.
Up to the present, Sue has carried out many many regressions on different people, with fascinating results. Information given by the client with regard to their past lives, can be verified to a certain extent. Sometimes a name can be verified, sometimes the clothing worn by the client is'nt commonly known, but can be verified, or the place they live, the people they are with. Even when there is no verification of the details given, it is still a useful tool in helping to heal negative situations in your life.
The most important point of Past Life Regression however, is not just to find out if it is true, but more importantly, how going through the process can help to heal present day issues that the client is dealing with.
